The short version. We do not know who you are, and we do not keep your search history. There are no accounts, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no analytics. A search result is stored for 40 days so the next person searching the same name is served the same answer, but it is stored as a page about that name — nothing about who searched for it is attached to it, and nothing on our side connects one search you make to another. Your FEED/STARVE marks never leave your browser. The only things you can give us are, by your choice, a correction report or an email address for updates.

The correction form does not require an email address. Leave it blank and the report is still acted on; you simply will not get a reply. If you do give one, it is used to reply to you about that report and nothing else — no list, no newsletter, never published, never passed on.
Reports are stored and also sent to the site owner by email. The owner's address is not shown anywhere on this site, and yours is not shown to anyone but the owner.
The only thing collected is your email address — no name, nothing else. It is not treated as signed up until you click the link in the confirmation email we send. If someone enters your address without your knowledge, ignore that email and nothing further happens.
The list is not used for anything yet. No updates are being sent. It will never be shared or sold. Every message we do send in future will include a link to unsubscribe.
Your list is stored locally and only locally. Marking an entity FEED or STARVE makes no request to the site at all. We cannot see it, count it, or recover it for you if you clear your browser.
Everything below is done by our server, in its own name. No outside service receives your address, your device details, or anything that identifies you. What they receive, at most, is the name you searched — the same name anyone else could search.
Services that receive the name as a query: Anthropic's Claude API, under their commercial terms, which writes the entry and runs a web search on the name; and, for the Research notes, the public records our server queries by name: SEC EDGAR, Wikidata, GLEIF, and the open business registries of Colorado, New York and Oregon.
Websites our server fetches a page from: the searched subject's own website, and the filing, record, publisher, organisation and news pages the lookups above point to. A website that is fetched sees only that our server requested one of its pages, exactly as if any visitor had opened it. It does not receive the search, and it has no way of knowing that anyone searched.
The pages our server retrieves are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract and check the statements they make. All of this runs on our hosting provider, Google Cloud. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of loading them, as any website using Google Fonts does. Email is delivered by Resend, which handles the contents of correction reports and the address of anyone who signs up for updates. There are no other third parties.
Clearing your browser data removes your saved list completely. To stop updates, use the unsubscribe link in any message we send. Stored search results and the research behind them delete themselves after 40 days; to have one removed sooner, to have a removed name kept off the site permanently, to have your email address deleted, or to raise anything else about this notice, use our corrections form.
